A RENDEZVOUS WITH SARA NAQVI

A RENDEZVOUS WITH SARA NAQVI

Q) Why don’t you tell us something about your background? How did you get into this field?

We’re three sisters and designing has always been a part of our household and that has eventually lead to me into the designing field.

Q) What are you currently working on, any intriguing projects that you can reveal to us?

We’re coming up with our new formal line.

But the most exciting project at hand is our collection that we will be showcasing at the PFW London 2018.

Q) What was your biggest fear about starting your own line?

My biggest fear was and still is having an unhappy client. We put in a lot of hard work and honesty into our work and the ultimate gratification comes from the client, so that has always been very important for me.

Q) Do you live to work or work to live?

I work to live because it’s because of my work that I am able to live life how I want to.

Q) How do you want women to feel when wearing your clothes?

I want women to feel beautiful, desired and complete.

Q) 3 things you would change about the industry?

           1) I would want to change the theatrics, the fact that a lot of drama is popped in to create an impact however I personally find it objectionable as it’s not practical.

                 2)  The fact that without connections you can’t make it to a certain extent.

           3) Exploitation of models.

Q) If you could give your younger self an advice what would it be?

Not to worry as much, party harder and chill out.

Q) Do you have any strange phobias?

Extremely scared of tsunamis and sharks!

Q) What is your greatest strength and biggest weakness?

Strength is I’m strong willed and weakness would be that I trust people too easily.

Q) What is success to you?

A happy bride. And the satisfaction of delivering a product that makes people happy.

Q) What makes you feel empowered?

Financial independence.

Being able to live my life my way.

Q) What is the thing you want to achieve most before you die?

Contentment.

Q) Something that offends you?

Comparisons (annoy the f*** out of me!)

Q) What is the one thing that people misunderstand about you?

People think I have it all figured out. (I don’t)

Q) Which international celebrity would you like to work with?

Rosie Huntington (she carries everything so well.)

Q) How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style is pretty casual and laid back. I’m more interested in dressing others than dressing myself. For me, its comfort all the way.
